Discord will our primary method of communication during this event for all attendees (in-person and virtual). Mentors will also be using a Discord bot to help hackers!

Join our HackCLT ‘24 Discord server here! If you do not have a Discord account yet, please create one first.

Getting Started

When you first join the Discord server, you will only have access to a few channels. To get access to the rest of the server, please follow the steps found in the #🏁start-here channel.

Make sure to click on the reactions (emojis) to assign yourself pronouns and get the “participant role” — this will allow you access to the rest of the Discord server

react to different social events and workshops to be added to the channels for these events as well!

Reporting Incidents

We hope that HackCLT ‘24 will go off without a hitch, but in the event that an incident does occur, we have a system in place to help handle it. You can report incidents of rule-breaking and harassment with this Google Form, which is also linked in the #welcome-and-rules and #discord-tips channel.

Quick Discord Tips

• If you want to change your display name, you can find yourself in the Member List and right click on your name, then click "Change Nickname."
